Effective March 15, 2021, Ketan Sampat, Co-Founder and Chief Technology & Product Officer of the Provenance Chain™ Network (PCN) began his term on the Port of Portland Commission. Earlier this month, Ketan’s appointment to the Commission from Governor Kate Brown was Senate approved.
A prestigious volunteer role that begins a four-year term, Ketan replaces former Commissioner Tom Tsuruta and holds representation for Washington County in Oregon. The nine-member Commission meets monthly and helps to drive economic growth through the area’s marine ports and air terminals. Fellow Commission members include representatives from education, private business and non-profit. The appointment of Ketan adds to well-rounded representation for the Port.
Ketan brings together an impressive blended background: former President of Intel India, founding President of TiE-Oregon, Co-Founder of CafeGive Social, Executive Partner at Elevate Capital & Adjunct Professor at Portland State University.
“My head & heart has always been focused on driving economic opportunity for our region. The appointment by Governor Brown and subsequent Senate confirmation is an honor and privilege. I am incredibly optimistic for the future of the Port of Portland and excited to bring my wide array of experience to boost economic growth.”
