This week, I was in Las Vegas for the Government Business Executives Forum (GBEF), a premier gathering of senior leaders in information management, cybersecurity, and national security. Over three days of plenary sessions and breakout roundtables, Government and private sector leaders engaged in intimate, meaningful conversations.

This year marked the 20th anniversary of the event, featuring an impressive lineup of speakers, including senior leadership from the FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, TSA, Customs and Border Protection, FEMA, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Space Force, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, National Security Council, elected officials, the CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, and representatives from leading private-sector organizations.
Discussions delved into the pressing threats facing our nation—from near-peer adversaries and terrorist organizations to state-sponsored threats and domestic challenges. These threats underscore the stark reality: there are nations and individuals actively working to undermine our way of life.
The sheer number and complexity of these challenges are daunting. Yet, I am profoundly grateful for the high-caliber professionals dedicating their lives to protecting this Nation. Their unwavering commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the principles of freedom upon which this country was built is truly inspiring.
Thank you for your dedication and service.
